Hey, I just joined this community. I was going to start a LITW community if there wasn't one already. When I saw the movie for the first time, I left feeling confused, like "what was that supposed to be about?". Firstly, I love M. Night Shyamalan and I knew there had to be some sense to the movie. It didn't make any sense to me whatsoever. On IMDB I read in a message board a post by someone who 'got' the film. I saw it again after reading this and I thought it was soooooooooooo good. It made so much sense after that. I don't know how many people are going to understand the movie, not because it's gotten so many bad reviews and it's just a fairy tale gone wrong, but because no one is going to think really deeply about it, which is the only way it'll make sense. I'm posting the analyzer's post under the cut so hopefully more people will understand this movie. It's really good, and I knew it had to make sense! lol.
An awakening under the cutCollapse )

Oh man, I just saw the movie today and I thought it was good. It's a lovely fantasy movie just just makes me feel as if I'm in another world when I'm watching it.

The latest post in BET OnBlast's New Movie Friday features Lady in the Water. There are several clips, the official trailer, and even an interview with M. Night Shyamalan and Jeffrey Wright. Check it out here.

Hello, I'm new! :D I just got back from seeing the movie a couple hours ago. I really enjoyed the film. It somehow felt very different from the rest of Shyamalan's films, which surprised me (it had a lot more humor in it than I would have expected), but not in a bad way. I don't know why so many people say this movie is bad; I've been reading the posts over at IMDB, I thought the film was beautiful. Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all. I hope my intro post is okay. :O

I saw Lady in the Water today. I thought it was such a beautiful movie. Although when i first left the theater, i felt like it was missing something at the very end, perhaps a final resolution. Or perhaps he's leaving that open for a sequal. But now the more i think about it, the more i like it. I suggest you see it, and if you leave the movie feeling slightly disapointed, dont worry. The more you think about it, the more you'll like it.

The Lady is released tomorrow, and I shall be one of the first in line since people are forcing me to go early in the day.

Right now it's gotten brutal reviews on rottentomatoes, but that doesn't stop me. If anything it confuses me. All the critics say it's horrible, and all the normal people say it's great. So what's going on? O__o

So! Who else is planning on going tomorrow or sometime this weekend?

Hey! I'm new here... I never actually knew much about M. Night's movies, and I have seen Signs and The Village, but I never realised they were by him. The Village was actually pretty good, but the ending kinda disappointed me in terms of the true identity of the monsters. Signs was alright, but not really a favourite movie. This new movie looks like a fantasy thriller, so I'm quite interested in watching it. The posters are very beautiful, and I thought I'd share a third poster I found, which is the same as the standard poster, only without all the text (which makes me happy as a graphic designer).

Textless Poster

I also made some icons (just 2!), so I thought I'd share them with you also.

(onto the icons!)
